Connected systems

Pinnacle Creek, Warrior, Indian Ridge and Pocahontas connect into one southern group the Authority describes as the most continuous miles of trails east of the Mississippi.

Supplies in War and Gary

The Authority lists food, fuel and lodging in both War and Gary. Plan your supply stops around those town services when riding the southern network.

Reading the road connections

The brochure map labels War, Gary and Welch for orientation. It distinguishes approved highways from other highways and uses TH symbols for routes leading to the trailhead. A road appearing on the map is not, by itself, an approved riding route.

Vehicles and trail signs

Warrior is not open to full-size ORVs such as Jeeps and trucks. UTVs may use green and blue trails and Most Difficult trails specifically signed for them. The system also has orange single track for experienced dirt-bike riders.
