Trail access

  • Rockhouse: Rockhouse is one of the three original systems and, with over 100 miles, one of the largest. It is known for steep, extreme riding and connects to Braveheart, Devil Anse and Buffalo Mountain. Trailhead: 83 Rockhouse Creek Road, Man, WV 25635 (shared with Braveheart).

Riding in town

WV Tourism lists riding in Gilbert until 11pm. Town connector routes are not permission to ride any road. Outside routes a statute or local ordinance allows, state rules bar ATVs and UTVs from roads with a center line or more than two lanes, except to cross: stop fully, cross at about a right angle, yield to traffic, and use your lights if the machine has them.

Worth a stop

Tubing on the Guyandotte River, Twisted Gun Golf Course, R.D. Bailey Lake, and the Hatfield and McCoy Moonshine distillery.
