Who it suits

Most Big Coal River trails are green or blue. Black and red/black trails give experienced riders harder options, and the published mix includes a small amount of single track. Choose a route by its trail ratings rather than assuming every trail is easy.

Preparing a full-size ORV

Big Coal River requires rollover protection on black and red/black trails. Helmets, eye protection and seat belts are required for drivers and passengers. The driver needs a valid driver's license, and each person must have a trail permit before riding.
